Should you use hand cream every day?
Yes, daily application of hand cream is recommended, especially if you wash your hands frequently or come into contact with chemical cleaning agents. Frequent hand washing can dry out the skin and lead to cracks. A good hand cream helps to moisturize and keep the skin supple. You should also always moisturize your hands after contact with water and soap.
How do you make your own hand cream?
Homemade hand cream is not only cost-effective, it is also free of harmful chemicals.
Note on allergies: Make sure you are not allergic to any of the following ingredients ➡ Ingredients: Coconut oil, shea butter, beeswax, essential oils such as citrus oils in particular can trigger allergies. If you have existing allergies, please consult a doctor before using the hand cream.
Here is a simple recipe:
Ingredients:
50 g coconut oil
30 g shea butter
20 g beeswax
10-15 drops of essential oil (e.g. lavender or lemon)
Instructions:
Melt: In a water-resistant container, melt coconut oil, shea butter, and beeswax over low heat.
Mix: Once everything has melted, remove the container from the heat and add the essential oil.
Cool: Let the mixture cool slightly before pouring it into a clean container.
Seal: Once the cream has completely cooled and solidified, you can store it in a sterile glass container.
Now you have a great, homemade hand cream that deeply cares for your hands!
What alternatives are there to hand cream?
If you don't want to use hand cream or are looking for an alternative option, there are several possibilities: Oils: Jojoba oil or olive oil are excellent alternatives. They penetrate quickly and provide intense moisture. Sunscreen: A good sunscreen can also help protect your skin, especially if you spend a lot of time outdoors. Creams with urea: Specialty products containing urea can be very effective for dry skin.
